{"id":11603,"date":"2022-08-29T23:43:14","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T19:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/?p=11603"},"modified":"2022-08-29T23:43:17","modified_gmt":"2022-08-29T19:13:17","slug":"jawzjan-university-officials-female-students-must-cover-their-faces-on-campus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/en\/jawzjan-university-officials-female-students-must-cover-their-faces-on-campus\/","title":{"rendered":"Jawzjan University officials: Female students must cover their faces on campus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By: Rukhshana Media <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Female students at northern Jawzjan University say the Taliban have ordered them to fully cover their faces and wear a veil when they are on campus and in their classrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision was made in a meeting held between deans of Jawzjan University on Sunday, August 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting from Monday female students aren\u2019t allowed to enter the university without wearing face veil, said a female student who spoke on the condition of anonymity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEven during the lectures, we should wear a veil,\u201d she said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter if the lecturer is a woman or a man.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She added that the students have been warned to be directly expelled from the university, if they disobey the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen you are done with lectures, you should not walk around the campus and you should not use smartphones,\u201d she said female students were told by her school\u2019s dean, who said \u201cyou will be expelled\u201d after receiving two warnings.<br>Female students, who wear colorful shoes, are also not allowed to enter the univeristy, according to her.
