{"id":12099,"date":"2022-09-24T22:17:36","date_gmt":"2022-09-24T17:47:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/?p=12099"},"modified":"2022-09-24T22:17:39","modified_gmt":"2022-09-24T17:47:39","slug":"women-handicrafts-exhibition-held-in-bamyan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/en\/women-handicrafts-exhibition-held-in-bamyan\/","title":{"rendered":"Women handicrafts exhibition held in Bamyan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By: Rukhshana Media <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition, which was held in a makeshift market in front of the Bamyan buddhas, started Saturday, September 24, and is expected to continue for one more day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Embroidery clothes and scarves, handmade purses and other handicrafts were displayed for sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the second such exhibition organized by female entrepreneurs in the province after the Taliban\u2019s takeover of Afghanistan over one year ago.&nbsp; But the women exhibiting their products said their sales numbers were bad on the first day of the exhibition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fatima Ahmadi, a 17-year-old saleswoman, said though her sales were not very good today, generally holding such exhibitions are important to introduce women\u2019s handicrafts in the market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She called on the Taliban\u2019s government to allow such exhibitions to be held in other provinces, and do more to help female entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 29-year-old businesswoman, who spoke on the condition that we don&#8217;t use her name, said exhibitions are good, but they should be held in appropriate places for both customers and sellers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday\u2019s exhibition has been held under scorching sun which harms our products,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is also difficult and unbearable to ourselves.
