On Saturday, November 8, 16 people, including eight women, were also publicly flogged for not adhering to the clothing order, listening to music, having western haircuts, and shaving beards at the same place in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The verdict was implemented on each of the criminals in the presence of Muslim scholars, elderly people, and citizens of the province, according to the Taliban Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the Taliban seized power in August last year, this is the first kangaroo court issued by the Taliban Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The verdict is issued after Mawlawi Hebatullah Akhundzada, the Taliban supreme leader recently issued a decree of retribution or full enforcement of Islamic law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the decree, those who are involved in murder, kidnapping, adultery, and theft must be punished for their actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A young man and a woman were also publicly whipped by the Taliban forces for alleged adultery in a local stadium in front of Buddha statues in central Bamyan province on Thursday, November 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
