{"id":19563,"date":"2023-08-18T18:07:47","date_gmt":"2023-08-18T13:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/?p=19563"},"modified":"2023-08-18T18:07:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T13:37:49","slug":"taliban-flog-23-people-in-sar-e-pol-and-zabul-provinces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rukhshana.com\/en\/taliban-flog-23-people-in-sar-e-pol-and-zabul-provinces\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban flog 23 people in Sar-e Pol and Zabul provinces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At least 23 people have been flogged in two provinces on various charges, according to the Taliban Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At least 19 people were flogged in Sar-e Pol province on Wednesday, accused of a number of offences including fornication and adultery, the newsletter said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The corporal punishments were staged in public in the central stadium of Sar-epol province for charges of \u201cfornication, adultery, illicit relationships, armed robbery, running away from home, and insulting prophetic hadiths.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newsletter did not provide details about how many times they were lashed nor whether those being flogged were women or men.
