This is a photo collection by Abdul Rab Baktash that depicts the daily life of women and children in some cities of Takhar, like Taleghan, Farkhar, and Khajeh Ghar. The beauty of nature combined with the shadow of male dominance over women’s lives has created an unpleasant contradiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takhar is one of the greenest provinces in Afghanistan. It is one of the green and agricultural provinces, located about 400 km from Kabul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takhar is one of the second-handed provinces. It is more than 124 thousand kilometers wide. Takhar is one of the traditional provinces in northern Afghanistan where women are trapped in patriarchal culture and perception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fragile security situation and male dominance in Takhar have led to a low presence of women in various sectors of society, especially in education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
