The Taliban imposed their most restrictive hijab regulation on female students of Polytechnic Engineering University.
Earlier, the Taliban ordered all female university students to wear black head-to-toe hijab with a black mask when they were on campus and in their classrooms.
But on Saturday, July 16, all female students at Kabul Polytechnic Engineering University were warned that they will not be allowed to enter the university if they don’t wear burqa or other type hijab which cover the entire body and face, a source said.
The source, who herself is a female student, said wearing burqa is difficult for her and her friends during the hot summer days of Kabul.
She said two of her female classmates have already decided to defer their studies for one year.
“They said they may return to their studies if the situation gets better,” she said.
