In a joint statement, a group of female protesters called on the international community to support Afghan women and asked them to impose sanctions on the Taliban. They called for the cancellation of a planned meeting between the Taliban and a group of Afghan women.
“As the Taliban reached power through illegitimate ways and their government has no validity, we request that the discussion planned between Afghan women and the Taliban should get canceled,” the statement said.
The Taliban who are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity should be imprisoned, the statement added.
“We ask international organizations to investigate the Taliban’s inhuman and unjust actions, and they should be stopped from running secret jails,” the statement added.
