A man has allegedly shot dead his wife and injured his three children in an attack in Nangarhar province, according to the provincial office.
The Taliban Nangarhar governor’s office wrote on Twitter that the attack happened Tuesday evening in Dand-e-Barkat Khan village of Sorkhrud district.
Taliban forces went to the scene but the man had already fled.
The man’s two sons and daughter have been transferred to hospital for treatment.
The provincial office did not provide details about the identity of the man or the victims, but said efforts are underway to arrest the perpetrator.
A similar incident occurred a few days ago in Borikhelo village of Khost’s Gurbuz district when a man killed his two children and wounded another son and a niece in a gun attack.
Reports of domestic violence seem to be increasing, with the victims more likely to be women and children.
