Two alleged robbers were killed in the Oba district of Herat province by the owner of a house they tried to break in. Then, the Taliban hanged their dead bodies “to be a lesson” for others, according to a source.
“The two men were killed by the owner of the house they tried to break in,” a local source who spoke on condition of anonymity told Rukhshana Media.
On Tuesday morning, October 5, the Taliban officials in Oba district hanged their bodies among a crowd.
The two men were killed and hanged with no legal procedure. The local residents are concerned about the killing of civilians with no legal and court procedures. Some said that the continuation of the exrtralegal murders and hanging of people under the guise of “fighting robbery” promotes voilence and impunity.
Recently, the Taliban also hanged four alleged kidnappers in Herat city.
