Two female school students, who had gone missing nearly a week ago, were found dead on Thursday in Mazar-e-Sharif, local sources said. Both were shot dead and their bodies were found in Tangi Dasht-e-Shadiyan neighborhood.
Victims are identified as 16-year-old Sharifa, and 17-year-old Fatima
Both bodies were buried in a grave in Aliabad cemetery. Locals residents found the bodies, and the Taliban police transferred them to a civilian hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif, then informed the families.
No one has been detained in connection to the murders so yet, Mohammad said.
Sharifa and her friend Fatima went missing when they were on their way to a tuition class in downtown Mazar-e-Sharif, Taj Mohammad, Sharifa’s father said.
Mohammad, the father of Sharifa, said he didn’t have any personal hostility with anyone.
But local sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Fatima’s mother, Mina, was a prominent businesswoman, involved in real estate business, and had political connections with political parties before the Taliban came to power.
