Seven members of one family were wounded in an explosion inside their house in Marja district of Helmand province on Friday, local sources said.
The explosion was triggered by an unexploded ordinance which was found outside by the family’s children, who then took it inside the house. They were playing with it when it exploded, a local source said.
The unexploded ordinance said to a rocket round.
All the injured were taken to the hospital, and two were in critical condition, Helmand health officials said.
In another similar incident in Uruzgan province two women and a child were wounded when an unexploded ordinance went off in their house.
A child and a woman were in critical condition, a local health official in Uruzgan said.
