Schoolgirls in Jaghuri and Malistan districts of Ghazni province staged a street rally on October 6, in solidarity with students killed at a tuition center in Kabul which left dozens killed and wounded on Friday, September 30.
The female protesters chanted, “Education is our right”, “Stop Hazara genocide”, “Let’s be united, the common pain can’t be healed separately” and “Open girls’ schools”.
A shopkeeper, who preferred not to be named due to security reasons, told Rukhshana Media that the protesters in Jaghuri district were mostly female students of secondary school.
Yesterday, women and girls protested in Nangarhar and west Kabul and urged the international community’s serious attention to the massacre of Hazaras in Afghanistan.
It’s the sixth day that female students have protested across Afghanistan, including Herat, Bamyan, Balkh, and Nangarhar provinces over the deadly attack that left 126 of Hazara students killed and wounded in west Kabul on Friday.
