The Taliban have publicly whipped seven individuals, including a woman in Chaghcharan, the capital of Ghor province on Saturday, the Taliban Supreme Court said on Sunday.
Three of the individuals were accused of running away from home and violating private boundaries while the remaining four were accused of adultery, the statement said.
According to the statement, six individuals received 39 lashes, while the woman was flogged 29 times. They were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from four months to four years.
However, a local source told Rukhshana Media that seven people, including three women, were whipped on Saturday in a stadium in the province.
In a separate statement, the Taliban Supreme Court reported that four people were flogged in Bamyan and Wardak provinces on Saturday.
The Taliban have publicly flogged hundreds of people throughout the country since they seized power in August 2021.
