The Taliban have publicly whipped three individuals, including a woman in Ali Sher district of Khost province, the Taliban Supreme Court said in a statement on Thursday.
They were accused of attempting to flee from home with a woman, according to the statement.
The court announced that the individuals were publicly whipped 35 times, and the men received additional prison terms of between one and a half to three years.
The statement said that several Taliban officials, including the head of the local court, were present at the lashing ceremony.
On Monday, August 26, 12 people were flogged in the southern Zabul province.
Hundreds of individuals have been publicly whipped since the Taliban seized power in August 2021.
