The bodies of a woman and her seven-year-old daughter have been discovered in Ghor province after missing for two months, local sources said.
The two bodies were located in the Abe Garm area of Allahyar district on Friday, according to a source at Ghor provincial hospital.
“About two months ago, a widow, who was the breadwinner of her family, went missing along with her child. Despite extensive investigation, no perpetrators were not found,” the source said.
The pair appear to have been buried near a river but became uncovered after a flood which subsided, according to the source.
Taliban officials in Ghor have not commented on the incident.
