A woman was shot dead by a gunman in her home on Saturday night in Dorbafaan village in northern Kapisa province, local sources said.
The woman, identified as Samargul, 60, was a craftswoman.
Karimullah Wasiq, the Taliban governor spokesman, said she was killed by a shotgun blast and the motive behind the killing was unclear.
“Search efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice,” Wasiq said.
Samargul was the local representative of the craftswomen in Kapisa, Hafizulla, her neighbor said.
