The Taliban intelligence forces arrested and tortured two male professors of Herat university, a local source said.
A source at Herat University, who asked to remain anonymous, said one professor was teaching at Economics school, and the other at Computer Science.
The incident happened a few days ago and both professors were released on bail after severely being tortured in the prison.
The intelligence forces of the Taliban detained them for “promoting anti-Taliban ideas” and “disobeying” the Taliban’s orders at the university.
The source added both have to report to the Taliban’ intelligence office on weekly bases even after being released. He said the Taliban intelligence department has imposed a travel ban on the two professors.
