The body of a young woman was found hanging in a room in Kiti district of Daikundi province, a local Taliban official said. It wasn’t clear if she was murdered or committed suicide.
Ghulam Ali Jawid, the Taliban police spokesman for Daikundi, said the woman was identified as 25-year-old Hamida.
The incident happened in Tamran village of Kaiti district.
The initial investigation shows there was no sign of beating or torture on the victim’s body. But a shaving razor and a bloodstained scarf were found in the room in which Hamida was found dead. She also had wounds on her arm.
