A man beheaded his wife and 3-month-old son on Sunday, June 12, in Garmsir district of southern Helmand province, local sources said.
A source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the suspect used a knife beheading the victims.
The Taliban spokesman for Garmsir district, Sani, confirmed the incident and added that the suspect is identified as Allah Mohammad.
He said the motive behind the incident is yet unclear.
