A man killed his 19-year-old daughter in the Khwaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab province, at least three local sources confirmed to Rukhshana Media.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Ziarathgah of the district, according to the sources.
The victim was beaten and then choked, the sources said.
The motive behind her murder remains unclear, as the suspect has fled the scene, according to the sources.
Local Taliban officials have not commented regarding the incident.
This follows another incident, where a young woman ended her life after hanging herself in Faryab province nearly two weeks ago.
Domestic violence is cited as a major factor contributing to the murder and suicide of women and girls in Afghanistan.
