A mother lost her quadruplets after they were born in Badakhshan’s regional hospital on Monday, July 18, local sources said.

The quadruplets were born in the seventh month of their mother’s pregnancy.

Abdullah, the father of the dead quadruplets, said he lost his children due to the lack of medical equipment such as incubators which are vital for babies born prematurely.

Zahra, a patient in the maternity ward of Badakhshan hospital, said the mother of the quadruplets lived in a remote area where the roads are unpaved, and that she was brought late to the hospital.
