The Taliban forces have publicly whipped a woman and a man in Behsood district of Nangarhar province on charges of adultery, the Taliban Supreme Court statement said on Sunday.
The man received 39 lashes while the woman was whipped 35 times, the statement said.
On Tuesday, October 29, four individuals, including a woman, were publicly whipped in Kooz Kunar of the province for illicit relationships and running away from home.
The international community and human rights organizations have condemned the Taliban’s corporal punishment.
