The Taliban have publicly flogged three individuals, including a woman on charges of adultery and theft in Bamyan province on Wednesday, the Taliban Taliban Supreme Court said in a statement.
Two individuals received 35 lashes, while another received 30 lashes, according to the statement.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the flogging took place in Bamyan’s provincial park, with approximately 200 attendees, predominantly Taliban members.
In February the Taliban publicly whipped 13 individuals, including five women in Bamyan.
Over the past three years, the Taliban have carried out public floggings on hundreds of individuals, including women, across the country.
