The body of a woman was found in Juwand district of Badghis province on Monday, August 1, local sources said.
Sediqullah Sediqqi, the spokesman for the Taliban police in Badghis, said the reason behind the mysterious murder was unclear and that the victim was a 30-year-old woman.
A local source, who spoke on the condition we don’t use his name, said the woman was shot dead, and that she had five bullet wounds on her body.
He said the victim’s body is in the provincial hospital’s morgue. Her family or relatives haven’t yet visited the hospital to collect her remains.
