As we are writing this, the Taliban are on the cusp of getting total control of Afghanistan; millions of people are displaced, and thousands are killed and wounded in the violence that is unleashed across the country.
With tears in our eyes and broken hearts, we are writing to Thank You all for showing us that we are not alone, that sisterhood exists, that there are men and women who do care about us, who help us to push through darkness, Thank You.
We know, we have difficult times ahead, but with your generous support, we will assist our journalists to get to safety—if that place exists in Afghanistan.
In appreciation of your trust, we will be working harder to cover the situation of Afghan women across the country. We are planning to launch our English Website and expand our team so our supporters can see their support was not in vain.
Once again, THANK YOU
Zahra Joya and Zahra Nader
I’m sure translation is not easy and your current situation is even worse, but I wanted to send you solidarity from Radical Women, a socialist feminist group in the U.S. and Australia, and from the Freedom Socialist Party, its sister organization also in both countries. I write for the Freedom Socialist newspaper, and wanted to share with you the article I recently wrote on the U.S. withdrawal.
